Preparation Instructions
This is a timed test: several blood samples are taken over a few hours after a medicine or drink is given, so book in advance and plan to stay at the lab. Fast overnight unless your doctor advises otherwise, and bring your request form.
Sample Collection
A blood sample is drawn from a vein in your arm into a gel (serum) tube. Sample requirement: 3ml of Serum in Gel/Plain Vacutainer (0, 30, 60 min).
About Your Results
Results are usually ready on the same day the sample reaches the lab. You will be notified when your report is released, and you can download it from your patient portal.
